Hollywood Glamour in Laguna

The man responsible for capturing Hollywood’s golden era through the art of photography, George Hurrell, started his career in Laguna Beach influenced by pioneer stunt pilot “Pancho” Barnes and artists William Wendt and Edgar Payne. In homage to the legendary photographer, a stunning display of his celebrity portraits are at Laguna Art Museum through April 28, and biographer Mark A. Viera will be sharing stories and anecdotes on Sunday at 1 p.m. about Hurrell and his photographic style.
