The Detroit Bar in Westside Costa Mesa, one of the best venues in Orange County for live indie, rock, and alternative music, will be closing in a few weeks and reopening as a new incarnation, the Wayfarer, a House of Social Provisions. New owners, Jeff Chon and the Wayfarer Group, also of the Alley in Newport Beach and Tabu Shabu in Costa Mesa, will continue the beloved Detroit Bar’s legacy of live music while serving classic and modern pub fare. We’re excited to announce two new additions to Greer’s OC editorial staff, Natalie Aronson and Kelley Moody, two Chapman University students majoring in Television and Broadcast Journalism. Natalie and Kelley a.k.a.  “Greer’s Girls” will be regular contributors and giving us a younger perspective on the best in fashion, dining and trends in Orange County as well as filming, editing, and producing video segments for Greer’s OC TV.
