Free Movie Mondays Tonight

Movie fans are in free and fun musical screenings at Segerstrom Center for the Arts as Movie Mondays returns tonight on the Arts Plaza. Projected on the side of Segerstrom Hall, Movie Mondays kicks off at dusk (about 8 p.m.) with the screening of the 1935 classic The Little Colonel, starring Shirley Temple. Next up, it’s 1990s London with the Spice Girls starring the musical, Spice World (July 14.). Then it’s turn-of the-20th century Paris with the Academy Award-winning musical Gigi (July 21). Investigate The Art Detective!

The Pageant of the Masters is one of the most unique theatrical productions in the world and it's right here in OC! Watch real people be magically transformed into life-sized re-creations of famous works of art while a live narrator guides you through the story of each living picture accompanied by a full orchestra.  Shows are nightly and this unique experience is only in Laguna Beach. This year’s production, “The Art Detective,” opens July 9 and runs until Aug. 30. Tickets available online at www.PageantTickets.com. The New Waterfront A&O Kitchen+Bar

Newport’s newest waterfront bar and restaurant, A&O Kitchen+Bar just opened at the Balboa Bay Resort. A&O, an abbreviation for Anchors & Oceans, specializes in gastropub fare such as shared plates, hearty dishes, and creative cocktails. A&O also features a centerpiece tap system with eight craft beers from renowned breweries and two wines on tap from ONEHOPE Wine. Proceeds from sales of the ONEHOPE’s sparkling wine are dedicated to ending childhood hunger; the Chardonnay and Cabernet wine kegs will benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County.
