Ricochet, the Surfin’ for Paws-abilities surf dog who is fundraising for Patrick Ivison, a 15-year-old quadriplegic and surfer exceeded her fundraising goals, and won second place in the large dog category at the Surf City Surf Dog event last weekend in Huntington Beach. The Fall is here, and that’s when Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar in Newport Beach rolls out its three course fall prix fixe menu, priced at an affordable $39.95. Starters include roasted butternut squash soup; entree selections feature crackling pork osso bucco (slow-cooked pork shank served crispy with barbecue glaze and cilantro oil or filet mignon brochette), shallots, mushrooms and sweet peppers with Madeira sauce.
