Housework is inherently a drag. But to the rescue is my friend Raili Clasen and her partner Maria Barnes, who founded OC-based Alice Supply Co. The duo created of chic line out of ordinary household stuff: dustpans, brooms, garden houses, sponges, and buckets. Going Through a Great Phase

Mphase are a 3-piece electronic band from Costa Mesa featuring Geoff Harrington, Matthew Fletcher and James Fletcher. The band will be performing 8 songs from their CD release, “Crossed Wires” Tuesday at 10 p.m. at the Avalon Bar. (Complete with reverse lasers, smoke, synthesizers, vocal harmonizers and dancing.) Mphase formed as an outlet for Harrington to write music for film and it’s already scored music for the surf film “Echo Beach,” a surf video called “Sylemasters II,” the Yamake Art Project video documentary.
