Visit the Night Shift!

Explore the amazing nocturnal world of Carbon Canyon during a hands-on twilight nature walk tonight. From coyotes to opossums, OC Park staff will be unraveling the mysteries of the "night shift" and teaching why they (the animals, not the employees we assume) prefer the cloak of darkness to the brightness of day. Pre-registration is required for the 7:30 to 9 p.m. event by calling 714.973.3160. The event is free and parking costs $3 per vehicle. Carbon Canyon Regional Park is located at 4442 Carbon Canyon Road in Brea.

Cook, Shop and Prepare!

Today and tomorrow at Fleur de Lys - one of our favorite urban shopping spots - will hosting two workshops: one to cook and one to prepare. Before we get into these awesome events, just remember that 20% of all sales today and tomorrow will be donated to A Harvest of Hope. Herb Alpert in OC!

Two legends are returning to Segerstrom Center for the Arts on Friday – Herb Alpert and Lani Hall! The concert will include many songs from their latest collaborative effort “I Feel You,” which includes several reinterpreted classics – like Van Morrison’s “Moon Dance,” Peggy Lee’s “Fever” and two Beatles’ songs “Here Comes the Sun” and “Blackbird” – and is the duo’s first studio album in nearly 10 years.
