Join in the fight to raise vital research funds aimed at finding a cure for brain tumors at the National Brain Tumor Society's 12th annual Orange County Brain Tumor Walk on Saturday at 9 a.m. at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. It’s the only brain tumor organization to fully integrate research and public policy initiatives; partner with leading experts in academia, industry, and government to understand challenges; and identify opportunities for scientific advancement and collaboration. Wine Tasting Benefit for The Wooden Floor

Wine lovers can gather at the Big Canyon Country Club in Newport Beach on Thursday, Sept. 26 for the 7th annual Keep the Promise: A Wine Tasting Benefit for The Wooden Floor. Guests can taste 14 exquisite wines from around the world, each averaging 96 points and retailing at up to $180 a bottle. All wines have generously collected and donated by Newport Beach residents John and Janice Markley. Ramen fans can savor Mitsuwa Marketplace's Hokkaido Fair in Costa Mesa on Thursday through Sunday. In case you didn't know, Mitsuwa is a bustling food emporium and Japanese department store in Costa Mesa, and it’s the largest Japanese supermarket in the country.
