Global Genes, a rare disease rare disease advocacy organization, is helping to raise funds for WE ARE MORE! at Disneyland through the Carousel of Possible Dreams event on Wednesday, November 9. WE ARE MORE! is a newly formed organization and advocacy group for teens with rare disease. Founded by Newport Beach's 17-year-old, Shira Strongin, WAM! aims to connect the rare disease community and empower young adults to change the perception of illness and rare disease in mainstream media. Twila True, best known for her luxury nail salons, Polished Perfect By Twila True,  is a member of the Oglala Sioux Tribe from Pine Ridge, South Dakota.
