Fresh Brothers Supports Hurricane Irma Relief

Fast casual pizza concept Fresh Brothers will donate 20 percent of all sales on Tuesday, Sept. 19 to the American Red Cross to support Hurricane Irma relief efforts in Florida. Last week, they supported relief efforts of Hurricane Harvey. With 19 stores in Southern California, the nearest Fresh Brothers may be 1,500 miles from Houston and more than 2,500 miles from Miami, but the community-focused restaurant wants to do its part toward helping victims affected by both Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. The 26th annual Susan G. Komen Orange County’s Race for the Cure, will take place on Sunday, Sept. 24, at Fashion Island in Newport Beach. Komen Orange County is excited to announce a partnership with the Los Angeles Chargers, who will raise awareness and funds through the creation of team Chargers for the Cure.  Travis Benjamin, wide receiver and return specialist has been named Honorary Race Chair.  Benjamin has been personally impacted by breast cancer: his mother, grandmother and aunt have all fought the battle against this disease. Rock n’ Roll Hall of Famer Bill Medley will return to Newport Beach, his home of nearly 40 years, on Monday, Sept. 18, to host A Simple Evening with Bill Medley, a benefit for Lupus International. The annual event, held at the landmark Lido Theater, honors Medley’s late musical partner Bobby Hatfield and his wife Linda, who lost her battle with lupus in 2010.
