Celebrate National Root Beer Float Day with me on Thursday, August 9 at The Irvine Spectrum Center. The Marriott Irvine Spectrum will be setting up a root beer float stand in front of the Edwards Theater from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and will be making root beer floats for those who stop by the booth and make a donation to Children's Hospital of Orange County. The root beer floats will be purely donation-based (people can donate any amount, and all proceeds will go directly to CHOC. Zen & Zin Yoga Event Benefiting Breast Cancer

Every 2nd Thursday of the month, participating Lido Marina Village merchants will donate a portion of all sales to a select charity. On Thursday, Aug. 9 donations will be made in support of Free Wheelchair Mission.  Free Wheelchair Mission is a nonprofit organization that provides wheelchairs at no cost to people with disabilities living in developing nations. Fifth Annual Kaleido Kids Carnival

Kaleidoscope’s annual Kaleido Kids Carnival returns to the Mission Viejo center on Tuesday, August 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The afternoon of family fun will benefit Make-A-Wish® Orange County and the Inland Empire.
