Celebrate the beginning of the year with free ballet classes and demonstration performance at Community Ballet Day on Saturday, January 12 from 1-3 p.m. at Southland Ballet Academy, Fountain Valley Studio. Ballet classes are offered according age and training with a live ballet performance by Proteges of Ballet. Sweet treats and refreshments, too. It’s ideal for ages 3-10. What to wear: Ballet attire: leotard, tights, ballet shoes and hair pulled back. For first-timers, it’s best to wear a tank top or t-shirt, leggings or shorts, heavy socks and hair pulled back.
