The 12th Annual Hops & Vines Charity Classic will be celebrated on Thursday, Sept. 27 from 6-9 p.m. at Center Club in Costa Mesa. Proceeds from ticket sales and sponsorships benefit the Center Club Cares fund, which has selected Orange County School of the Arts to be the 2018 featured beneficiary. Ocean Institute Battle of the Bands Fundraiser

The Ocean Institute in Dana Point will be the site of a "Battle of the Bands" blues and soul sound on Saturday, Sept. 29 from 5 to 9 p.m. to raise money for their Distance Learning Program for disabled children. Hosted by the Sand Dollar Guild, a fundraising arm of the Ocean Institute, two well-known blues bands will take to the stage. Brian Young and the Blues Band will join the Blues Racket Band for an evening of soulful sound amid the beautiful ocean setting at the Institute.
