AnQi by House of AN at South Coast Plaza is inviting fellow workers in the food and beverage industry affected by COVID-19 to pick-up a large box of pantry essentials and fresh food to help them get through these troubled times on Monday, April 27 from 12-5 p.m. 400 boxes will be distributed starting at noon until they run out. To receive a box, a current or recent paystub must be presented showing employment in the food & beverage industry.   Social distancing will be observed and facial masks are required by the City of Costa Mesa. Here is a roundup of restaurants that are doing good in our community with their incredible philanthropic endeavors, from starting grassroots campaigns to donating and delivering meals to essential and frontline medical workers. My friend Thomas Curran walked across America last year all by himself (well his dog Wink accompanied him for a good part of the trip) to raise funds for Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation. #LIVINGLOCALOC Supports Local Businesses

Three locals from the Alumni Collective, Arthur Jeppe, Alan Buchanan, Steve Kalatschan came up with a way to support local businesses during these tough times that anyone can get involved in. They created a great grassroots solution called #LivingLocalOC. They built a website that aggregates the hashtag #LivingLocalOC and presents it as a feed to our community.
