Energy in the Spotlight!

The Orange County Center for Contemporary Art puts energy in the spotlight as it welcomes an exhibit  solely dedicated to artists’ interpretation of energy. Join artists for an opening reception Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m., Brats Berlin and Crepes Bonaparte food truck will be serving delicious foods. The pieces were chosen by Howard Fox, emeritus curator of contemporary art, at Los AngelesCounty Museum of Art and will be shown through Sept.17. Chocolate Awards!

On Sunday, "Chocolate: The Event" festival will unwind with a grand Gala Chocolate Awards from 4 to 10 p.m. at UltraLuxe Cinema in GardenWalk, Anaheim. Starting at 4 p.m. there will be a a celebrity-studded red carpet, chocolate awards, movie memorabilia displays, "Golden Ticket" giveaways, swag bags, Wonka movie character look-alike's and chocolate tastings. Mel Stuart, the director of “Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory” will be attending and honored at the event. This Saturday is National Cheesecake Day and The Cheesecake Factory has your cheesecake needs covered! When you visit The Cheesecake Factory (no to-go orders) you can get any slice at half-price. That includes pineapple upside-down cheesecake, wild blueberry white chocolate cheesecake, ultimate red velvet cake cheesecake and all the classics. Celebrity Chocolate Challenge!

Celebrity Chef Challenge and Chocolate Fashion Show One of the best "Chocolate" events takes place Saturday when you can also watch many of Hollywood’s celebrity chefs in a celebrity chef chocolate challenge from 2 to 5 p.m. The competition categories include savory, dessert, cocktail and healthy. For a list of participating chefs visit here. And chocolate meets fashion from 7 to 9 p.m. when designers interpret chocolate-inspired fashions.
