Dine Out Long Beach, Restaurant Week 2.0 will host a free Chefs’ Cooking + Tasting Series on Saturday, February 27 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Friedman’s Appliances in Long Beach. Long Beach Restaurant Week starts the following day and continues through March 5 at nearly 50 restaurants citywide. For the love of idaho Potatoes

The World’s Largest Idaho Potato Display-- more than 100,000 pounds of Idaho potatoes—will be on display on Wednesday, February 24 from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the Northgate Market in Los Angeles. The display is part of a Potato Lover's Month Retail Display Contest that the Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) holds every February. The previous world record for biggest potato display was set on Canada’s Prince Edward Island in 2012 and featured 92,500 pounds of potatoes. Northgate Market at 944 E Slauson Ave, Los Angeles.
