Now Open: CasaDamí – An Intimate European Café & Wine Bar in Newport Beach

CasaDamí, an intimate café and wine bar, is now open at the newly renovated Peninsula Village in Newport Beach. Created by partners Camilla Caremoli and Dave Shah, CasaDamí offers a refined European-inspired experience, blending coastal charm with timeless elegance.

Stepping into CasaDamí feels like escaping to a charming European hideaway. Guests are welcomed by a stunning 15-seat bar crafted from Italian marble, elegant white oak flooring in a herringbone pattern, and plush banquette seating framed by a custom wood panel arch. Outside, a spacious patio draped with florals inspired by the Italian countryside provides an idyllic spot for alfresco dining.

By day, CasaDamí offers counter service with a selection of fresh pastries, vibrant salads, shareable charcuterie and tapas, and exceptional coffee. Espresso lovers can enjoy classics like cappuccinos and cortados, or try specialty options such as the Marocchino, blended with Nutella, and the Affogato. Each cup is crafted with precision using a Rocket Espresso machine handmade in Milan, ensuring a perfect coffee experience from morning through evening.

As night falls, CasaDamí transforms into an inviting wine bar and dining destination, where guests can enjoy thoughtfully curated small plates and an exceptional wine selection. The tapas-inspired menu features crispy Papas Bravas, indulgent Gruyère Fondue, Chicken Milanese Bites, and the signature Bikini Toast with jamón serrano and smoky San Simón cheese.

The wine list, personally curated by co-owner and collector Dave Shah, showcases exceptional selections from Tuscany, Piedmont, Bordeaux, Burgundy, and California’s renowned wine regions. With a Coravin system in place, guests can enjoy rare and prestigious wines by the glass, including sought-after labels such as Caymus and Gaja Barolo.

Located in the heart of Peninsula Village, CasaDamí offers a cozy yet refined European experience, perfect for morning coffee, leisurely lunches, and intimate evenings over wine and tapas.

Open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., it's a new destination for those who appreciate the art of dining and gathering.

CasaDamí is located at 2210 Newport Blvd., in Newport Beach.
