Fireworks, Food, Five Bands at Star-Spangled Groovy Fest

Join the 57th annual Fourth of July Celebration at the Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort & Marina--the “Star-Spangled Groovy Fest” is an all-day family-friendly event with live music performances, food presentations, activities and the only fireworks display in Newport Beach.

Two stages with five bands will play music from the 60s and 70s from 2 to 9 p.m. Entrance fee costs $50 per car. Fireworks start at 9 p.m., gates open at 8 a.m.

Other festivities include a Back Bay Bistro Buffet with two seatings from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. ($45 for adults and $22.50 for children) Moe B’s Aquatic Park, as well as watercraft, beach, bike and golf cart rentals.

Newport Dunes Waterfront Resort is at 1131 Back Bay Drive in Newport Beach.
