Tastemakers of OC Returns to SOCO and The OC Mix

The Orange County Asian and Pacific Islander Community Alliance (OCAPICA) celebrates 20 years with their 2nd Annual "Tastemakers of Orange County" on Wednesday, Sept. 20 from 7 to 9 p.m. in collaboration with SOCO and The OC Mix. This culinary event celebrates the Asian and Pacific Islander community, culture, and heritage and gives guests the opportunity to taste and indulge in Asian and Pacific Island-inspired cuisines and beverages from distinguished chefs throughout Orange County.

The celebration at SOCO and the OC Mix in Costa Mesa will include food tastings, fun entertainment, opportunity drawing, and a silent auction all hosted at the SOCO and The OC Mix Farm Stands. Proceeds from this event benefit the non-profit organization, OCAPICA, and will support mental health, health, workforce, youth in education, and civic engagement opportunities for low income families. 

Participating chefs and restaurants include: Allan Tea, Capital Seafood Restaurant; Amar Santana, Broadway by Amar Santana and VACA; Bao Anh Ton, Quan Hop; Brian Huskey, Tackle Box; Carli Savedra and Reya Belna, The Water Brewery; Dean Kim, OC Baking Company; Dee Nguyen, Break of Dawn, Laguna Hills; Ed Lee, Wahoo's Fish Tacos; Greg Daniels, Haven Gastropub; Henry Pineda, Modern Filipino Kitchen; Ivan Calderon, Taco Mesa and Taco Rosa; James Hamamori, Hamamori; Jason & Rebecca Schiffer, 320 Main; Kristy Gunn and Leonard Chan, Shuck Oyster Bar; Linda Johnsen, Filomena's; Sandro Nardone; Shachi Mehra, ADYA; Shelly Register, A Market; Tarit Tanjasiri, Crema Cafe & Crema Artisan Bakers.

Tickets are available for $135 for VIP, which allows early entry at 6 p.m., and $95 for General Admission, from 7 to 9 p.m. More information and tickets can be found at tastemakersofoc.com.
