By Sheryll Alexander
Romance is nice, but a girlfriend getaway to Napa Valley may just be the ultimate retreat to feel fabulous and sexy this Valentine’s weekend.
Napa Valley provides the perfect alternative to all things romantic, especially with a host of attractive girlfriend getaway packages meant to soothe and relax. For example, did you know Napa Valley has natural healing geothermal hot spring waters, a vibrant arts and theater scene and charming historic towns?
And, of course, Napa Valley offers more world-class wineries and Michelin-star restaurants per capita than any other wine region in the world.
What about lodging? Napa Valley has lots of choices from gracious bed-and-breakfast homes to five-star hotels to modern boutique hotels. Here’s how to create some memory-making experiences to share with your gal pals this year:
The Napa River Inn has a rather reasonable and luxurious Girls Gone Wine Package. Internationally recognized as one of only nine “Great Wine Capitals,” the Napa Valley was voted the World’s #1 Food & Wine Destination in 2010 TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards and boasts 14 Michelin Restaurant Stars – the most per capita of any wine region in the world.
