Marking its second consecutive year, California's Bernardus Lodge & Spa has been awarded a coveted 12 stars from Forbes Travel Guide. Raising the bar on luxury lodging, the 73-room resort set against the backdrop of 28 acres of sweet lavender and vines, received top industry honors with a four-star rating for the Lodge, The Spa at Bernardus and Lucia Restaurant & Bar, the property's signature dining venue under the helm of Chef Cal Stamenov.

Bernardus Lodge & Spa shares this elite award with only six California and 14 U.S. hotel properties.

It's currently offering two specials: The Body + Soul -- Treat yourself to a one-night getaway in a luxurious guest room and enjoy your choice of two pampering 50-minute spa treatments and a dinner for two at Lucia Restaurant. And, indulge yourself with the Bed and Breakfast special. Enjoy a luxurious guest room for two, as well as a full American breakfast for two in either Lucia or in the privacy of your own room.

Opened in 1999 in bucolic Carmel Valley, Bernardus Lodge & Spa epitomizes wine country luxury with its top drawer service protocols and hospitality standards. The property's ongoing evolution included a multi-million dollar transformation in 2015 and the debut of its new Villas & Suites a year later, including spacious 1050 sq., ft., and 2100 sq. ft., lifestyle accommodations ideally suited for reconnecting with extended family.
