RUN TO THE HOLLYWOOD HILLS!
08.04.11
By Sheryll Alexander
For those who’ve always wanted to see the Hollywood sign up close and personal, Off ‘N Running Tours now takes runners (and walkers) on guided tours.
Called “Running for the Hollywood Hills,” these tours are dedicated both to improving athletic performance and to ensuring the best views of LA from the Hollywood sign to the Pacific Ocean.
For runners and walkers of all levels, the five-mile tour takes tour goers through Beachwood Canyon and an area known as Hollywoodland. Guides throw in little known facts as you run or walk past historical sites, notable landmarks, celebrity homes and movie sites.
Unlike group running or walking tours, “Running for the Hollywood Hills” is scheduled privately in the morning for one or two people, accommodating their specific travel schedule.
“Running for the Hollywood Hills” is offered Sunday and Wednesday mornings at a cost of $65 per person per tour. To register or for more information, go to http://www.active.com/running-membership/los-angeleshollywood-ca/off-n-running-tours-running-for-the-hollywood-hills-guided-running-tour-2011.
