On Sunday, Sept. 28 at the Fairmont Hotel in Newport Beach, the 2014 Golden Foodie Awards recognized the achievement of local culinary experts. Celebrity guests, star chefs and food fanatics sipped on exquisite cocktails and tantalizing cuisines. The red carpet affair awarded Golden Foodie Statues those in the local culinary industry who embody the highest excellence of culinary expertise and voted on by the people of Orange County. The Misty May-Treanor Sports Center in Irvine is celebrating a sneak peek open house tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. You can come meet 3-time Olympic Gold Medalist Misty May-Treanor, the Entire MMTSC Coaching Staff, and there will be a DJ, door prizes, beverages and snacks.
