Sake Tour and Giveaway

Kabuki Japanese Restaurant is kicking off the fall season with a Sake Tour at each of their OC locations led by Master Sake Sommelier Yuji Matsumoto, one of only two Master Sake Sommeliers recognized by the Sake Service Institute of Japan. Guests will have the opportunity to try seasonal selections and learn about sake pairings and tasting tips. Lahaina Galleries at Fashion Island presents an artist reception for California-based artist Cheryl Kline on Saturday, Oct. 11 from 4 to 7 p.m. Kline’s large abstracted landscapes of the sky includes 14 paintings and the collection, entitled “Clouds got in my way,” offers a unique perspective of the artist’s celebration of the grand and awesome skies off the Pacific Coast.  Kline also founded Kline Academy of Art in West Hollywood, devoted to teaching excellent painting and drawing skills to artists of all levels. Free Kenny Loggins Concert

Kenny Loggins will be performing a free concert from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday at the Orange County Great Park in Irvine. The Turning Runways into Greenways event celebrates the expansion of the next 688 acres of the Orange County Great Park.  A ceremony from Five Point Communities and the City of Irvine starts at 6 p.m. with food trucks, too.
