THE EYES HAVE IT
Don’t miss l.a. Eyeworks much-anticipated sale Friday through Sunday only at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa. Thousands of l.a. Eyeworks frames, as well as other top designer frames and sunglasses, are reduced 50% to 90%.
Some frames are prices as low as $20, and as an added bonus, the store offers 20% off prescription and custom lenses for any sale purchase.
Since 1979 l.a. Eyeworks has designed cutting-edge eyewear with novel names like Nico, Mert, Kilgallen and JR. Big. Co-owners Barbara McReynolds and Gai Gherardi are an artistic duo whose designs are inspired by their travels. Frames with ornate ironwork were inspired by Spain, and a layered lacquer style with carvings came from the Orient.
More than 100 styles are in the collection, and a few other designers are carried including Oliver Peoples, Mosley Tribes, Kaenon, Loree Rodkin and Paul Smith.
For an optical store it also carries interesting gift items: watches, and tiny unabridged copies of the U. S. Constitution. At l.a. Eyeworks let the sales staff find the right frame for you. They are experts at choosing the most flattering frame for your face.
Open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sunday. l.a.
