THE DAVID OF YOGURT SHOPS!

A new, self-serve yogurt shop just opened in Corona del Mar. Surprised? Hardly, yet CDM Yogurt is the antithesis of the current yogurt craze.

CDM Yogurt is the David among the Goliaths of yogurt shops. It's as mom and pop as it gets -- no fancy lighting, modern fixtures, and hip interiors. CDM looks like a modest yogurt shop circa 70s Newport.

Co-owners and husband-and-wife team Lisa and Jeff Fisher pride themselves on the quality of their yogurt--not the mod atmosphere.

Today, you can taste test for yourself. CDM Yogurt celebrates its grand opening from 4 p.m. to closing by offering 50% off its yogurt.

Jeff custom blends flavors daily and studied under the wings of a yogurt guru in La Costa. He's excited about his current flavors: tart low-fat, peach tart, mago tarts, peanut butter, Fudgsicle, oatmeal cookie, old fashioned vanilla, peppermint chocolate, very strawberry, and low-carb/lactose intolerant friendly honey almond. New flavors will debut soon.
