GREEN HOTEL OPENS IN LAGUNA!
The first eco-friendly hotel (that we know of) in Orange County just opened in Laguna Beach. The contemporary Seven4One is a small boutique hotel that is committed to environmental sustainability, incorporating 35 eco-friendly elements.
A few of them include tank-less water heaters, PIN activated door locks -- no plastic cards, newspapers available on request only, custom made waste-wise mattresses, and bio-degradable bath amenities.
Seven4One offers 12 guest rooms that include a luxe queen room, nine luxe king rooms, a 400-square-foot Sky Suite and a 600-square-foot Sea Suite. Each room is decorated with contemporary coastal furnishings featuring a soothing palette of deep blues, ocean greens, cool grays and crisp whites.
Jessica Alexander, the chef de cuisine at Seven4One (formerly with Studio at Montage Laguna Beach), specializes in small plates that can be enjoyed in the lobby lounge, the outdoor courtyard, and the ocean-view terrace, as well as in-room.
Guests can spend a day on the beach, and let "sand valets" take care of everything: beach chairs, towels, blankets and umbrellas, even revitalizing water mist, chilled herb-scented face towel and UV protection.
And when you're hungry, simply push "talk" on your walkie-talkie to order from a menu of fresh salads, gourmet sandwiches and more. When it's time to head back to the hotel, just tell your sand valet and he or she will pack everything up!
