OUR STAMP OF APPROVAL

Imagine a T-shirt that could help change the world. That's what Ethnicitee has set out to do.

Ethnicitee is a new socially conscious apparel line from OC that we're crazy about. The short and long sleeve graphic tees display works of art (postage stamps from around the world) that commemorate and celebrate cultures.

Founder Dr. Allan Bernstein uses images inspired by the artistry of stamps of various countries. Bernstein refers to them as mini-masterpieces of art.

Choose from our favorites: "Luna 69," Mexico's stamp celebrating the U.S. landing on the moon (pictured above); an Australian stamp commemorating cave art; and the "Einstein Year of Miracles" tee from Israel.

And when you purchase an Ethnicitee shirt online or at a local boutique, you'll also be raising funds for Ethnicitee's first charitable campaign: "charity:water," a nonprofit initiative that brings clean water and basic sanitation to impoverished communities.

Ten percent of Ethnicitees proceeds will be dedicated to this cause. Poor water conditions are responsible for the death of more than 36,000 children under the age of five every week, meaning a child dies from unsafe water every 15 seconds.

Prices range from $30 for a women's tee, to $55 for a man's tee.
