Movie buffs! Order up a tub of popcorn and silence the cellphone! The Newport Beach Film Festival --one week of pure movie bliss -- arrives Thursday and continues through May 1.
It's your time to attend film screenings right in OC (you can close your eyes and pretend you're in Cannes!). You'll be treated to international and U.S. premieres, Academy Award entries, Sundance selections, a spotlight series, and Children's Festival from both indie and majors studios.
The festival boasts more than 350 international films, and an ambitious and inspiring selection of features, shorts, documentaries and animation. During post-screenings, you can ask your questions to directors, screenwriters and cinematographers.
The festival also hosts premieres, galas and yacht parties for a more decadent experience.
For festival schedule, visit the NBFF website or call 949.253.2880.
