HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!
We've hit the one-year mark at Greer's OC, and want to invite you to our free birthday celebration on Thursday, Jan. 10 from 5 to 8 p.m. at hush restaurant in Laguna Beach.
It's a night to celebrate with the supporters of Greer's OC (that would be you) and to raise money for Juvenile Diabetes Research JDRF, a cause near and dear to me because my 16-year-old son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes two years ago.
hush, an elegant and simple restaurant that serves exceptional contemporary American cuisine, has graciously agreed to host the event and will be serving tray-passed specialties for the evening.
Also, the hush bar will offer cocktails made with top-shelf spirits from some of the event's sponsors, including Ciroc Vodka, Godiva Liqueur, Oronoco Rum, Johnnie Walker Black Label and Jose Cuervo Tradicional, and wines from Laetitia, Robert Stemmler, Joel Gott, Jordan, Cosentino, Merryvale and Pine Ridge.
The evening will feature a silent auction that will include items such as a $1,000 gift box from Smashbox Cosmetics (guests will also receive samples); a multi-course dinner with wine pairings for four at hush ($1,000 value); a $1,500 item from Black, Starr & Frost's South Coast Plaza store (plus gift bags for guests); 30 Turbosonic sessions and 20 deep tissue massage bed sessions at Take Charge of Your Health ($1,000 value); a collection of liqueurs and reserve brands from Diageo ($500 value); use of a luxury vehicle of choice for an entire weekend from Jaguar Land Rover Mission Viejo; and Culinary coach and certified Executive Chef Gregg Denter will offer a cooking class for 4 people (3-4 hours) to prepare a four-course meal for four to be served by Chef Denter ($1,100 value).
