SURF CULTURE IS UP!
Art and surf enthusiasts will love the theme at McKibben Studios in Corona del Mar. The gallery features artists, sculptors and photographers who represent the surf and island lifestyle through art, imagination and creativity.
McKibben Studios presents a special showing of artist Mike Gallagher's entire portfolio entitled, "Art That Moves You." It includes a limited edition abstract expressionist fine art surfboard, and contemporary art works. Gallagher is a local artist with works in the Guggenheim and the Smithsonian Institution. He received a MFA at Yale in 1970, spent more than 40 years surfing, and experienced more than 20 years of work in New York's art scene.
Open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
