IT'S ALL ABOUT THE KIDS
Join the 6th annual Festival of Children at South Coast Plaza, a month-long celebration of childhood that starts this weekend. It benefits more than 60 children's charities from OC and LA.
Take part in free, fun activities from noon to 4 p.m. on the weekends for the entire family. More than 100 live performances, guest celebrity appearances, workshops, crafts and activities are scheduled.
And on Fridays at 11 a.m. enjoy an hour-long morning coffee, tea and mommy and me through Sept. 21. The get-together for moms and toddlers offers interactive arts and crafts, or a musical activity and an informational educational talk from Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC).
Some of the Festival highlights include Mannix the magician, Godfrey the magician, international dance groups, Tickled Pink face painting, live animal shows, and hands-on art and crafts activities.
A simple way to give back to the charities served is to purchase a South Coast Plaza gift card for $25 or more and donate it to the Festival of Children Foundation. Your gift is 100% tax deductible. Gift cards are available at any of the concierge desks.
