LAGUNA FASHION FIND
Zazu Boutique in Laguna Beach is a major find for trend-shoppers. Owner Jeanette Engel has quite an eye for fashion. She owned a wholesale showroom for 35 years at the California Mart in LA before opening Zazu.
During that time, Jeanette was a sought-after fashion maven who dressed a former First Lady (she won't name who, but we're pretty sure it wasn't Barbara Bush), celebrities and fashionable types.
Zazu offers an ideal mix of collections: Seven For All Mankind jeans, Michael Stars T-shirts, Diane Von Furstenberg dresses, and borderline couture lines, Robert Rodriguez and LAMB. Also find Marcello Toshi's handmade shoes from Peru (recently featured in Vogue and Ocean magazine). Top denim lines include hard-to-find Tag jeans, Goldsign, 575, Edun (nude spelled backward) from U2's Bono, and Chip & Pepper.
And to complete oufits, Zazu carries modern jewelry by Tomassini, LAMB, and Faith Night; and belts by Leatherock.
