THE CURE FOR DEMIN BLUES

Finding a great fitting jean can be no fun at all. But the new Solutions, a denim store for men and women, in Newport Beach, wants to solve your denim blues.

Owner Susan Cianciulli offers a denim bar menu to take the guesswork out of which designer brand and style will fit you best. The denim menu categorizes body types, and then suggests the brand, style and size that fit just right.

"We sit down with customers and give them an analysis of which brand they should be wearing," says Cianciulli. "We want to send them to the dressing room with the most flattering denim."

Solutions offers a wide variety of designer denim in all prices ranges. The selection includes Antik, Stitch’s, Brown Label, People’s Liberation, Chip + Pepper, Taverniti So, Lucky and J Brand. Other brands include Yanuk made famous by Michele Pfeiffer; and 575, a hot new vintage denim.

Women who want stylish high-rise jeans can try Not Your Daughter’s Jeans, referred to as a "Tummy Tuck" denim. There are also great shirts to wear with jeans, including local designers 7 Diamond, Turkey tee’s and Crown Jewels. Also find Ben Sherman shirts and cute tops by Halé Bob.
