On The Waterfront: The Winery

Premium wines and contemporary California regional cuisine from award-winning Chef Yvon Goetz will be served at dinner only daily, starting today, at the new stunning Winery Restaurant & Wine Bar in Newport Beach overlooking the Marina.

The new Winery Restaurant Newport Beach will bring the same distinguished experience as its flagship location at The District in Tustin, only this one will strive to make you feel like you’ve been transported to a relaxing getaway in Napa or Sonoma, albeit one with ocean views from its second-story dining room and breathtaking bar.

The new wine focused restaurant features warm wood flooring, stone slab accents, and wine barrel staves used as décor, as well a state-of-the-art two-story temperature-controlled glass wine cellar with a 6,000-bottle capacity. There is also a second-story cigar patio, overlooking the marina with plush sofas, large flat-screen televisions, a dual-sided fireplace and state-of-the-art heaters.

Since its debut 6 years ago, partners JC Clow, William Lewis and Chef Yvon Goetz have mastered the art of combining award winning cuisine, in a vibrant, sophisticated setting that’s garnered numerous awards and honors such as the prestigious Southern California Restaurant Writers Association’s “Restaurateurs of the Year.”

The waterfront location will offer the same level of service as its original restaurant, with eight Sommeliers on the team, as well as an incredible wine program, and a delicious menu featuring wild game and USDA Prime steaks, as well as Pacific Rim flavorings, such as fresh line-caught Opah, Mong Chong, Ono & Mahi Mahi flown in daily from Hawaii. With the expansive wines available, Chef Goetz will feature numerous wine-infused ingredients into many of his signature dishes.

“The major difference with this location will be the stunning views of the waterfront and boat access. We anticipate endless possibilities, with something to suit every palate,” said JC Clow, Managing Partner of The Winery Restaurant & Wine Bar. Three private docks are available for guests to arrive via the Marina.

Open for dinner service only seven days a week.

3131 W. Coast Highway in Newport Beach. 949.999.6622.
