Dunkin’ Donuts in the OC!

The wait is over for Massachusetts based Dunkin’ Donuts first OC location—on Wednesday, April 8 at 5 a.m. Dunkin’ Donuts will open in in Laguna Hills offering everything from its famous fresh brewed coffee, 52 varieties of donuts and more than a dozen coffee beverages as well as bagels, breakfast sandwiches and other baked goods.

You can be part of the opening day festivities, the first 100 people to order will receive a Dunkin' Donuts tote bag filled with special items. Guests will be greeted by adored mascot, Cuppy, and offered free passed samples and special giveaways throughout the day.

The restaurant is also proud to follow Dunkin’ Donuts’ DD Green Achievement program, which aims to help franchisees build sustainable, energy-efficient restaurants.

Laguna Hill’s Dunkin’ Donuts will maintain a variety of energy- and water-saving features, such as LED light fixtures, low-flow faucets and highly efficient heating and cooling systems. During the opening cceremony, a $1,000 check will be presented to the Children’s Hospital of Orange County in its efforts to help its first-class care and state-of-the-art facilities.

The franchise group that owns Dunkin’ Donuts in Laguna Hills plans to develop 10 Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in South Orange County and the surrounding area.

Taste of Huntington Beach

The Taste of Huntington Beach returns on Sunday, April 26 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Huntington Beach Sports Complex.

The delicious event raises money for the Children's Library of Huntington Beach and also promotes the amazing variety of restaurants in Huntington Beach. A partial list of participating restaurants includes Slater’s 50/50, Duke’s, Sandy’s, Deli-licious, Lazy Dog Restaurant and Bar, Shades Restaurant, and Red Table. First time participants include Bondi Grill House, Mahe Restaurant, and Pizza Lounge.  

Tickets are on sale now at the Huntington Beach Central Library (Children’s Desk), Longboard Restaurant & Pub in Downtown Huntington Beach and online at www.TasteHB.com.

General admission tickets cost $65. With this ticket, you can sample food from 50 of the best local eateries and wines from 35 of California’s finest wineries and premium breweries.

VIP tickets cost $85, and you’ll get all the perks of a general admission ticket plus a private VIP reception from 11 a.m. to noon featuring hors d’oeuvres and Champagne, a commemorative 2015 glass Taste wine glass, special VIP giveaways, free valet parking and a 20-minute early admission to the main tent.

Live entertainment by Party Jones, a silent auction and a raffle will also be included.
