Knife Pleat Debuts Al Fresco Lunch

Michelin-starred Chef Esnault and restaurateur Yassmin Sarmadi welcome you back at Knife Pleat at South Coast Plaza for lunch with al fresco dining. It’s a great way to take advantage of this beautiful Southern California weather.

On their spacious open-air patio, they’re offering dine-in service during lunch from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Enjoy seasonal dishes that showcase Chef Tony Esnault's focus on flavor and artistic execution, created with organic produce and 100% humanely & sustainably raised meats and seafood.

Selections range from seafood dishes, including Lobster Caesar and Ora King Salmon, to Knife Pleat's noted Duck Cassoulet and Steak Frites. Not to be missed will be seasonal desserts created by their talented pastry chef, Germain Boitteau. View the entire lunch menu here.

They are also offering a three-course menu to go! Chef Esnault’s dishes are now available as a dinner to enjoy at home. Following is this week's three-course dinner menu:

  • Appetizer: Butter Lettuce with pickled shallot, fine herbs, Parmigiano Reggiano, sherry vinaigrette -or-
  • Carrot Ginger Turmeric Soup with baby yellow carrots, pickled purple carrots, chives
  • Main: Cape Grim Grass Fed Beef Tenderloin potatoes boulangere, broccolini, tomato confit, beef jus -or- Farro Provencal Risotto with tomato, eggplant, squash, corn
  • Dessert: Peach Tart with almond cake, lemon verbena, poached and raw peaches -or- Éclair with pâte à choux, caramel cream and sauce

Knife Pleat's 3-Course Dinner Menu is $58 per guest (does not include tax and service charges). This menu is available for pick-up Tuesday through Saturday between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Orders must be placed by 4 p.m. for same-day pick-up. Beverages available for purchase to accompany any order.
