Labor Day Weekend Dining Events & Deals At South Coast Plaza

More than 20 restaurants at South Coast Plaza—from fine dining to fast-casual—offer outdoor dining and takeout over Labor Day weekend starting today through Monday, Sept. 7. Unique to the holiday weekend are a spectacular clambake kit to preorder at Water Grill and a Michelin-star quality dinner from Knife Pleat served under the stars. Here are the details as well as other dining incentives. 

Knife Pleat

Knife Pleat will offer an extraordinary prix fixe six-course will be presented under the stars on Garden Terrace Friday, September 4 at 6:30 p.m. Closed Saturday-Monday.

The Hall Global Eatery

Select from chef Amar Santana’s six creative pokes made from sushi-grade seafood and customized to your liking with toppings and garnishes. 

Also available are house baked goodies, fresh-squeezed juices and coffee drinks from the Pâtisserie, as well as savory shawarma at the Mediterranean Grill.  All weekend 11 a.m- 5p.m. Takeout or dine on the spacious patio.

AnQi by House of AN

Dine on the relaxing AN the Garden through the weekend with the highest safety protocol observed. Saturday and Sunday, September 5-6 only, chef Ron Lee’s succulent Gochujang pork BBQ ribs, half-rack, will be featured at a special price of $15 (a $22 value). Available for patio dining or takeout. Closed Labor Day.

The Capital Grille

In addition to dining at lunch or dinner on the charming sidewalk patio, The Capital Grille offers The Capital Butcher, with its famous steaks cut daily by in-house butchers, for cooking at home. Of note are the renowned Pat LaFrieda burgers—a blend of short rib, chuck and brisket for home grilling that come with brioche rolls. Sides that generously feed four to six are available.

Water Grill

Labor Day Clambake! Besides lunch and dinner daily, preorder a spectacular clambake kit (steam at home) and pick up Saturday, September 5, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the weekly pop-up market. Includes two Maine lobsters, wild jumbo shrimp, Manila clams, black mussels, linguica sausage, fingerling potatoes, corn on the cob, French baguette and Old Bay seasoning, all tucked into a reusable cooler bag. $130 plus tax. COSTA Contemporary Kitchen

Contemporary Peruvian cuisine enjoyed al fresco. Happy Hour Thursday-Saturday, 4:30-6:30 p.m. with half-off seasonal craft cocktails and savory appetizers. Takeout Combo Special Thursday-Saturday – Salpicón chicken salad and arroz con mariscos, $20 (a $33 value). Closed Sunday-Monday.

Outpost Kitchen

Inspired by the beach cafes of Australia, Outpost Kitchen recreates a neighborhood gathering place with a food and cocktail focus on organic and locally sourced ingredients. Stop by for Sunday Brunch 7:30 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. Enjoy special $8 pricing on Bloody Marys, Micheladas and the Bam Bam Burrito made with Spanish chorizo, brekky potatoes, eggs, avocado, spinach wrap. Breakfast served daily from 7:30 a.m.

Royal Khyber Fine Indian Cuisine

Relax and dine on refined Indian classics in the lovely courtyard anchored by a fountain. Curbside pickup orders are 20% off on takeout of $75 or more. Use codeCurbside20 when ordering. Closed Labor Day.

Morton’s The Steakhouse 

Morton’s offers outdoor seating in a pavilion setting and for takeout, Chef's Table Home Kit. Preorder different three-course menus ready to be picked up, grilled and cooked at home for two to eight guests. Select from gourmet burgers, filet and lobster and assorted steaks. Includes salads, sides and dessert. Priced from $89-179.

Ruby’s Diner

Ruby offers its Double Deluxe Burger specially priced at $5.99. Two delicious all-natural beef patties are topped with slices of American cheese, crisp lettuce, tomato and hamburger spread and served with fries.
