Let’s Get Fit

A new state of the art fitness studio, Orangetheory Fitness just opened its first California location in Newport Beach. The new concept offers exciting 60-minute group sessions that incorporate interval-based cardio and strength training with advanced treadmills, rowing machines, TRX suspensionstraps and heart-rate monitors.

Participants can burn an average of 600-1000 calories per class, and an additional 200-400 calories up to 36 hours afterwards! Even if your goal is not calorie burning, you can build strength, increase metabolism, and tone and shape
your body. Orangetheory Fitness uses advanced five-zone heart rate monitors so that trainers can monitor the intensity and recovery of each exercise, removing the guesswork so that members can meet their workout objectives.

The first class for non-members is free, and as a special for Greer’s OC readers, if you schedule a class and mention the Daily Dose of OC, you’ll receive a VIP kit including towel, water bottle, stress ball and bag.

More than 40 classes are offered weekly from morning to evening.

Orangetheory is at Westcliff Plaza at 1040 Irvine Ave. in Newport Beach. 949.630.0555.
