The most popular and oldest drink in the world is given its due at the new Seventh Tea Bar from the same masterminds and owners of Portola Coffee Lab, Jeff and Christa Duggan, at OC Mix in Costa Mesa. Seventh Tea Bar offers a consummate tea experience with more than 30 unblended single-estate teas brewed by different methods.
The craft teahouse concept focuses on hand select unblended teas from around the world. Seventh Tea Bar also offers iced teas on tap, fruit and herb-infused custom creations, as well as traditional tea services with Chef-inspired tea sandwiches, scones and pastries.
It's adjacent to the wildly popular Portola Coffee Lab, and Theorem, a barista-driven craft coffee bar. The tea bar was given its name after the traditional Chinese belief that tea is the seventh of the seven necessities.
Open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Seventh Tea Bar by Portola Coffee Lab is in the OC Mix at 3313 Hyland Ave., Costa Mesa. Reservations are recommended for larger parties and special tea service requests.
