The B8kery by Selanne Opens in Laguna Beach

NHL Hall of Famer Teemu Selanne, former Anaheim Duck and esteemed Olympiad ice hockey player, along with business partner Kevin Pratt, proudly announce the opening of The B8kery by Selanne, situated next to Selanne Steak Tavern.

Formerly known as Andree’s Patisserie, a beloved Laguna Beach neighborhood bakery since 1960, The B8kery is conveniently located at 1456 S. Coast Highway. Operating hours are from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily.

This charming neighborhood establishment boasts an inviting ambiance with its bright white and pink interior, expansive windows, eye-catching Sips & Sweets neon wall sign, and delightful decorative elements. The menu showcases a delightful variety of pastries and breads skillfully crafted by Rebekah Eastman, who also holds the position of pastry chef at Selanne Steak Tavern. Prior to this, Eastman showcased her talent as a pastry chef at Bourbon Steak, Chef Michael Mina’s esteemed restaurant at the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point.

At The B8kery by Selanne, a generously sized glass display entices visitors with an array of tempting treats including Glazed Strawberry Bang Pies, Blueberry Streusel Muffins, Gluten-Free Donut Muffins, Banana Nut Muffins, Berries and Cream, Almond Croissants, Chocolate and Peanut Butter Brownies, cookies, cupcakes, and many more delectable confections.

To complement these offerings, The B8kery features an array of hot and cold coffee options made with artisanal Caffe Luxxe coffee beans from Southern California. Choices range from Americano, Espresso, Cappuccino, Lavender and Churro Latte, to Iced Caramel Macchiato and Iced Mocha. For tea enthusiasts, Earl Grey, Green Dragonwell, and Chamomile Lavender Teas are on the menu. Additionally, the menu includes refreshing, wellness smoothies like the Super 8, blended with hemp and chia seeds, bananas, berries, almond butter, vanilla protein, coconut milk, and spinach. Bottled water and Caffe Luxxe coffee beans are also available for purchase.

“We are excited to open our own little bakery right beside Selanne Steak Tavern,” said partners Selanne and Pratt. “We welcome Rebekah to our ‘culinary family’ and know the neighborhood and greater community will be thrilled to stop at The B8kery just off South Coast Highway – to treat themselves to our wonderful menu of tasty pastries, breads, and premium beverages.”

The B8kery by Selanne is at 1456 S. Coast Highway in Laguna Beach.
