Attention film lovers. You are about to get eight days of pure movie bliss! The 11th annual Newport Beach Film Festival will kick off its eight-day run Thursday at 7:30 p.m. with the opening night screening and world premier of Five Star Day at Edwards Big Newport. It closes with an advance screening of Letters To Juliet on Thursday, April 29 April 30 at 8 p.m. at Regency Lido Theater.

Following the red carpet screening of Five Star Day, the festival will host an opening night gala at the Bloomingdale’s Courtyard in Fashion Island with more than 20 Newport Beach area restaurants, a fashion show presented by Fashion Island Fashion Island, and a special performance by Mystère by Cirque du Soleil. The closing night celebration will take place at the Via Lido Plaza Courtyard following the screening of Letter to Juliet and will feature menu selections from over a dozen restaurants, live entertainment and other festivities.

The festival will showcase more than 350 international films, and an ambitious and inspiring selection of full-length features, shorts, documentaries and animation along with nightly special events, red carpet galas, post screening receptions, compelling conversations with filmmakers, international spotlights, industry seminars and retrospectives.

Two lucky winners will receive tickets to the 2010 Newport Beach Film Festival’s opening night gala Thursday at 9:30 p.m. the Bloomingdale’s Courtyard in Fashion Island with more than 20 Newport Beach area restaurants, a fashion show presented by Fashion Island Fashion Island, and a special performance by Mystère by Cirque du Soleil. Winners can pick them up at will call. Valued at $80 each. Dress is black tie optional, and guests must be at least 21 years old.
