Texas-based Del Frisco’s Grille officially opens Saturday at Irvine Spectrum after a week of pre-opening festivities at its first Orange County location at Irvine Spectrum. With a striking two-story, glass-enclosed wine wall as you enter, and island bar surrounded by communal tables, a roomy dining room, a sun room, and outdoor patio with a warm and inviting fireplace, you’ll find plenty of options to enjoy Del Frisco’s Grille. There’s even a chef’s table that seat eight guests with a view of the state-of-the-art kitchen.
The classic bar and grill is known for its delicious menu of bold flavors and market fresh ingredients with reimagined American classics served daily for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch.
Signature starter dishes include our favorite Ahi Tacos, Cheesesteak Eggrolls and Fire Roasted Artichoke with Meyer Lemon vinaigrette, parmesan and black pepper aioli. The generous Jumbo Lump Crabcake, mostly crab, is served with a Cajun lobster sauce. Del Frisco’s flatbreads are excellent, including the Wild Mushroom with caramelized onions, Fontina cheese, and baby arugula; and Pepperoni and Sausage topped with mozzarella and fresh tomato then dusted with parmesan cheese.
You can also choose from entrée-sized salads, a variety of modern comfort foods, including meatloaf made from veal with hand-mashed potatoes and wild mushrooms topped with a bordelaise sauce as well as a delicious Steamed Brown Bag Fish served with local vegetables.
Hearty sandwiches include the Cali Chicken Sandwich served on challah bread and topped with crushed avocado, lettuce, tomato and lemon-tarragon mayonnaise. A selection of burgers, fresh seafood and signature steaks wet aged for 28 days complete the menu with a series of side dishes that includes a decadent Truffle Mac and Cheese.
Del Frisco’s Grille will offer brunch every Sunday until 3 p.m. with contemporary favorites, including Red Velvet Belgian Waffle with whipped vanilla bean-spiked cream cheese and thick-cut hickory smoked bacon and The Grille Benedict with poached eggs, thinly-sliced French ham, and scallion and white cheddar biscuits topped with chipotle hollandaise sauce.
At brunch, you can even go for the Build-Your-Own Bloody Mary with an assembly of ingredients that includes house-made Bloody Mary mix presented in a glass milk jug along with Tito’s Vodka and a plate of garnishes.
Open for lunch 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday and until 3 p.m. on Saturday; open for dinner from 4 to 11 p.m. Monday-Friday; 3 to 11 p.m. Saturday; and 3 to 10 p.m. on Sunday. Sunday brunch is served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
