Ten Days of Newport Dining

It’s time to make your dining arrangements and prepare for ten days of gourmet specials at Newport Beach Restaurant Week kicking off Friday, Jan. 18 to Sunday, Jan. 27.

More than 70 of Newport's finest restaurants will be offering special three-course prix-fixe gourmet menus at bargain prices of $10, $15 or $20 for lunch and $20, $30 or $40 for dinner. Most participating restaurants will offer a minimum of three offerings per course. Reservations are recommended. While your dining at your favorite spots you’ll be saving on average 25% to 60% off regular prices.

The entire list of restaurants and menus are available online here.  Whether you want to enjoy some Italian specialties from Cucina Alessa in West Newport, order a to die for burger at Crow Burger Kitchen on the Balboa Peninsula; or taste some of the best seafood in Newport at Bluewater Grill in the Cannery Village, you’ll be spoiled with great food and values. As an added benefit menu price points cost $5 less than in 2011 giving diners a chance to dine out more and save more.

Fresh Market in Lido

Starting this weekend, The Pelican Courtyard Open Air Market will turn into the Lido Village Artisan Market. The new concept will work with the Newport Beach Farmers' Market to provide a local shopping experience that includes new and vintage finds, organic produce and great foods. You can come out to support the local community, small businesses and the entrepreneurial spirit.

The farmers’ market will be open Sunday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. 3400 Via Oporto in Newport Beach. 949.290.7249.
