Eating Clean and Organic in OC

As far as we know, True Seasons Organic Kitchen in Anaheim is one of the few restaurants in OC dedicated to ensuring that all of its foods are 100% organic or certified pesticide-free and always GMO-free.

Co-founder and chef Saifon Plewtong discovered through a difficult health issue that eating only USDA organic foods helped her feel better almost immediately, so she’s on a mission to offer the healthiest, cleanest and tastiest organic meals available. She also offers wellness coaching to help others.

In 2016, True Seasons was named one of Orange County’s top 10 best new restaurants by Orange Coast Magazine, and for good reason. Its health-conscious cuisine, menu offerings and chef Saifon’ inspiring and passionate dedication are unsurpassed.

Chef Saifon meets with local farmers and quality vendors that share the True Seasons mission of using completely organic, GMO-free and majority gluten-free ingredients. All produce is local, 100% organic or certified pesticide-free, and GMO-free; all meats have no hormones or antibiotics; and seafood is always wild-caught. And all sauces and desserts are freshly made in-house without chemicals or preservatives.

True Seasons is known for its hot pot (shabu shabu), and also offers new organic menu additions and popular desserts including fresh gelato, house-made popsicles and shave ice, as well as coffee from Thailand.

Its newest menu offerings include delicious organic wild caught salmon, organic Thai curry chicken and organic teriyaki chicken used in their rice bowls, salads and wraps. Chef Saifon even makes her own Sriracha made with lemongrass, chili, kaffir leafs and has zero sugar or GMOs.

You have to try her spicy edamame, zucchini salad, thai curry chicken and organic oreo cookie gelato.

Chef Saifon also operates the The Free Pantry, a non-profit Christian collective which offers low income families and the elderly free organic vegetables through their monthly farmer’s markets.

Open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday; noon to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Happy Hour is Monday-Thursday 3-5:30 p.m. 50% off beer, wine, sake & appetizers
