No More Waiting For Nobu

Nobu Newport Beach, the newest addition to the world-renowned Japanese restaurant empire founded by Nobu Matsuhisa and Robert De Niro, opens Friday, April 7 at Lido Marina Village to provide the ultimate Nobu-Style experience.

The stunning two-story waterfront space, includes outdoor covered patio dining on both levels, expansive bar & lounge, and exquisite special event space, the new Nobu Newport Beach provides the ideal setting to enjoy signatures like Black Miso Cod and Yellowtail Jalapeño, world-renowned sushi, and Newport Beach-inspired dishes and cocktails.

Among the exclusive additions at new location is the first Nobu Grand Cordon Bar, an intimate patio bar that will serve a rotating menu of craft cocktails created by Nobu bartenders around the country as part of the inventive Grand Cordon cocktail competition.

This spirited contest focuses on innovation above all and invites Nobu bartenders throughout the U.S. to create a Nobu Style cocktail from a specific set of ingredients six times each year. A hand-picked panel of Nobu insiders, cocktails experts and fans are invited to judge the finalists with the winner earning a spot for their cocktail on every Nobu menu in the country. The opening Grand Cordon menu includes the “Smokin’ Aces” from Nobu Miami, the “Sol Amigo” from Nobu Downtown, the “Cin n’ Cider” from Nobu Las Vegas, and the non-alcoholic “Komomo Star” from Nobu Honolulu; with every sip giving cocktail lovers one-of-a-kind access to the world of Nobu.

The exclusive beverage offering continues in the bar & lounge with the U.S. introduction of the acclaimed Hitachino Dai Dai IPA on draught, and a seasonal offering of beers from bespoke Japanese breweries; the perfect complement to an expanded bar and lounge menu that is sure to dazzle guests’ palates with all-star dishes including Takumi Burgers, Lobster and Ribeye with Rocoto Butte, Seafood Ceviche and Nobu Style Tacos.

Executive Chef Frank Gorriceta, Executive Sushi Chef Akihisa Kawaii, and General Manager  Casper Khamphouy are at the helm of the new opening, bringing their winning team from Nobu locations around the globe to introduce Nobu’s internationally-acclaimed cuisine and service to friends and fans in Newport Beach.

Nobu Newport Beach is at 3450 Via Oporto in Newport Beach. The reservations line will begin taking dinner reservations starting April 7 at 949.429.4440.
