The team behind Driftwood Kitchen and The Deck on Laguna, just opened their newest restaurant, Hendrix at the Ocean Ranch Village in Laguna Niguel.
Hendrix offers "New American" cuisine a combination of flavors and traditional American cooking techniques. Executive Chef Rainer Schwarz’s menu items include local and seasonal ingredients, popular cuts of fish, steaks and chops as well as rotisserie items with interesting and flavorful accompaniments. The restaurant was named "Hendrix" as a play on Hendrick's Gin; it's the featured spirit in the restaurant's signature cocktail, "The Perfect G&T."
Some of the standout dishes from Hendrix’s rotisserie includes spit roasted Porcetta and Colorado Rack of Lamb, which will be available for takeaway and in-house dining as entrees or sharable platters. The menu also includes Roti Chicken & San Daniele Prosciutto Fritters , Whole Roasted Bone Marrow, Spaghetti with Lobster, Fried Catfish, Double R Ranch Bone-In Ribeye, Scottish Cedar-Planked Salmon, and Rotisserie Chicken & Fontina Flatbread. Meals can start with freshly made-to-order Zucchini Cornbread with honey compound butter with sea salt, and end with Austrian Apple Strudel, inspired by Chef Schwarz’s youth.
The full bar offers a mix of signature drinks, quality drafts that reflect the American craft movement, and an easy-to-navigate wine list full of favorites at fair prices. Wines will be on display in the restaurant so diners can shop for their desired bottle at near retail price.
Open 4:30 to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday; 4:30 p.m. to midnight.
