For those who still need a costume, be it frightening or fun, Halloween Bootique at The Triangle is a one-stop shop for costumes and accessories for adults, kids and pets. The store also carries holiday décor and party supplies to make your Halloween party memorable.
At Halloween Bootique, popular costumes this year will be Wonder Woman for both girls and women, Steampunk-themed costumes for women and men, and Donald Trump. The year-round costume shop is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. The store is located on the lower level of The Triangle, facing 19th Street, with convenient parking adjacent to the space. For more information, please call 949.631.6201.
At La Vida Cantina, the Halloween celebration will start at 3 p.m. with Taco Tuesday deals until 2 a.m., and Happy Hour from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Guests are welcome to come dressed in costume, and will enjoy live entertainment by DJ Crave.
The festivities will continue later that week, when La Vida Cantina will commemorate the Day of the Dead, on Friday, Nov. 3, from 12 p.m. until 2 a.m. There will be special Dia de los Muertos decorations throughout the restaurant, face painting from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m., Happy Hour pricing on food and drinks all day, and Cazadores Blanco Tequila shots for $7. Customers will also receive salt shakers for margaritas shaped as skulls. For reservations or more information, call 949.612.2349.
From October 26 through 31, Tavern + Bowl will give a small treat bag with candy to kids who bowl in costume at the boutique bowling alley and restaurant. For adults in costume, Tavern + Bowl will offer a complimentary spooky shot, or a complimentary non-alcoholic beverage on those same days. To add to the fun, Tavern + Bowl will also have a DJ spinning music starting at 9 p.m., Oct. 26 - 29. For more information or to book a lane, call 949.438.2320.
Creamistry at The Triangle also has scary good Halloween treats available through October 31, including the all-black Charcoal Cookies & Scream, classic cookies and cream ice cream with a ghoulish twist, and midnight black waffle cones, served in a bowl or as an ice cream cone. You might also indulge in Creamistry’s limited edition Fall La Mode flavors, Caramel Apple and Earl Grey ice cream pies. Creamistry gift cards also make great Halloween gifts for coworkers, teachers, and your favorite little ghosts and goblins. This popular liquid nitrogen ice cream shop is located on the lower level of The Triangle, facing Newport Boulevard.
For those looking for a fun place to dine out on Halloween, consider Yard House, Saddle Ranch Chop House or H20 Sushi & Izakaya for family friendly dining, or Black Knight Gastro Lounge for those over 21.
The Triangle is conveniently located at the end of the 55 Freeway, where Newport Blvd., Harbor Blvd. and 19th Street intersect, in Costa Mesa. The center offers seven levels of free parking, as well as a Valet on the first level near Tavern + Bowl.
