Laguna Beach-based Modern Pop, Inc. is a Southern California inspired foods brand committed to “Putting Fruit First. Founded by entrepreneur and mom Julie Podolec who started the company in 2014 after failing at several attempts to find a frozen fruit bar she felt comfortable giving her teething infant.

After discovering most products skimped on fruit, had too much sugar, added juices and vegetable stabilizers, she decided to take matters into her own hands; and Modern Pop was born. 

Her on-trend fruit bars that list whole fruit as the first ingredient have five ingredients or less, no refined sugar, are non-GMO and vegan. These attributes coupled with a captivating futuristic yet retro California brand have helped Julie shake up the frozen aisles of the foods world. 

Her newest flavors are Tropical, Mango and Fruit Punch. Original flavors include Strawberry Lemonade, Pineapple, Raspberry Pomegranate. Modern Pop is available at more than 3,000 stores, including local new retailers include Ralph’s, Albertsons, Vons, Pavillions and online at themodernpop.com.
