Build Your Own Mediterranean Bowl Eatery

Cava, the Washington, DC-based Mediterranean fast-casual restaurant and culinary brand, just opened its third Orange County restaurant on East 17th Street in Costa Mesa. CAVA is also in Irvine on Barranca Parkway, and in Mission Viejo on Crown Valley Parkway in March.

Cava's build-it-yourself, seasonally-inspired menu features a variety of customizable meal options (salads, grain bowls or pitas) made from scratch in-house every day. The menu features over 50 offerings and 58 million possible combinations of bold ingredients and flavors. The Costa Mesa location offers a seasonally inspired spring menu, which includes roasted carrots, cauliflower, and yellow beets; sumac radishes; and a new savory dressing - spicy lime tahini.

Cava was founded in 2011 by childhood friends Ted Xenohristos, Ike Grigoropoulos, and Executive Chef Dimitri Moshovitis and now has more than 53 restaurants in eight states.

It brings modern, authentic, and vibrant Mediterranean food to a wider audience, using ingredients made from scratch in-house every day.

Cava has partnered with Larder Baking Company to offer a delicious Chocolate Chip Cookie which will be available at Cava all locations. This opening marks Cava’s third restaurant in Orange County and ninth in Southern California.

Open 10:45 a.m. to 10 p.m.

350 E. 17th Street, Costa Mesa.

3972 Barranca Parkway in Irvine.

27750 Crown Valley Parkway in Mission Viejo.
