We Love Poke Festival in OC!

All things poke will be celebrated at the 2nd annual I Love Poke Festival, a food festival and restaurant competition on Wednesday, June 5 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Don the Beachcomber in Huntington Beach. Poke connoisseurs and those who just want to celebrate the Hawaiian delicacy, lifestyle and culture will love the event.
Chefs competing in the culinary battle for the title of “Best Poke” must use sustainable seafood in their dish. Several Orange County restaurants, including Hapa J’s and North Shore Poke Company will be vying for the title of Best Poke.

Attendees can sample Hawaiian and Asian inspired food from more than 15 participating restaurants and enjoy traditional Hawaiian plate lunches, chamorro food from Guam, shave ice, malasadas, and island inspired cupcakes. Also, Irie Love and Kimie will be performing live. Tickets cost $55 each and are now on sale at www.ilovemusubi.com/poke.

Don the Beachcomber is at 16278 Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach.

Brides for Boston

Orange County-based premier bridal designer Enzoani has created charitable endeavor, deemed “Brides for Boston” to help those who suffered the effects of the Boston Marathon tragedy. Enzoani is asking retailers and consumers to save remnant fabric strips from their wedding gown fittings and send them by July 31 to Enzoani, 1382 Valencia Ave.; Suite E; Tustin, California, 92780.

Enzoani’s designers will then create an original gown designed to include every remnant,  and will auction it, with the proceeds earmarked for a One Fund Boston benefiting victims of the Boston Marathon bombings. Given the designer’s flair for creating beautiful gowns, the Brides for Boston dress will be gorgeous.

The program will be announced at Enzoani's Seventh Annual fashion show kicking off the bridal season on Monday, June 3 in Newport Beach featuring reality stars Lindsay Yenter of the "The Bachelor" and Peggy Tanous of "Real Housewives of Orange County" among others. Enzoani will be showcasing the finest in bridal and formal wear from its 2014 collection.

Want to watch the fashion show live? The event will be streamed live on Monday, June 3 here. The runway show starts at 8 p.m.
